No one plans on having a car accident, but we all know they do happen. It can be upsetting but if you know what to do in advance, it will help you to deal with the situation. First of all, take some time to prepare in advance by keeping pertitent items in your car. You’ll need easy access to your insurance ID card, vehicle registration and list of emergency contacts. It would also be helpful to keep a first-aid kit, a medical card, and a list of any special health conditions. Safety should be first and foremost at all times. So, you’ll need to move your car to a safe location as soon as possible, but don’t leave the scene of the accident.
